Not much is known about the Maian, except it is extremely stealthy, very fast, very maneuverable, and it can only be driven by a certain alien race known as the Procelous. Their pilots are referred to as the Maian (thus the name). This is their only known fighter. The Maian pilots are smaller than rest of their race.

It is believed to have special engines that do not require regular fuel. Instead the engines burn and combust the matter around them and in some unknown way create thrust.

The upper housing, when landed, moves on tracks upward to allow the maian to exit the vehicle. Because of this, there is an assumed semi-hollow section in the fuselage, which would probably lead to a weak spot. The weak spot however has not been proven as of yet, because only one shot made it through a maian’s heavy shielding and that was a direct hit from a naval vessel. This shot completely obliterated the ship leaving nothing to be scraped or tested.

The extra energy from the engines is used to power the many lasers on board the Maian. Even more astounding is that the fighters powerful shield also is created from the engine’s exhaust. This shields appears to absorb an "incoming" and uses it to create matter where the fighter’s engines has taken it as fuel.

This fighter’s only weapons are its 16 lasers, these lasers shoot fast and straight. The Maian does not have to worry about having its guns able to shoot in any other direction besides forward, because it is maneuverable enough to quickly make navigational adjustments and shoot before its target can escape.

The Maian takes off and lands vertically, allowing it to aim at any possible target as soon as it takes off.

The Maian was used first at the invasion of the planet Cor and its surrounding moons by the rebelling forces. It was never used within Atmosphere Effect, which remains a mystery as to why. The Maians deployed were in battle groups of six Maian fighters with no other support, this is believed to be because the Maians prefer to work alone. Also because any other known fighter or bomber would have slowed the Maian down.
